Busy moms everywhere, you are so very special! Maybe many have told you how valuable you are, or maybe you feel no one seems to care. If you are reading this, then from one busy mom to another, you have incredible value and great purpose!
There are several names for the same role, “mom”, “mother”, or “mama”, but the role is the same. A mother is described as the female who nurtures, loves, supports, and gives to her children. When I think of my mother, I am so very grateful for her unrelenting love, her patience, her friendship, her guidance, her endurance, her grace, her everlasting support, and her wisdom. Because of her, I had the support and love to achieve many things, and the wisdom to do the same for my children. As a mother, your children are looking to you to provide them with these precious values.
At times, the incredible role of a mother can be diminished. You’ve changed your 1,000th diaper, you’ve burped your baby for the 1500th time, you’ve washed over 700 cycles of clothes, and you’ve driven over 3,000 miles for kids’ sporting events alone, but do know that the things that are done from day to day for your children which may seem drudging, are important.
Because you are so very special, and your role is extremely important, please don’t forget to take some time for you! Self-care is not selfish. It is simply allowing your pitcher to be filled, so that you can continue to give unrelentingly to others. Take time to pray and meditate, to walk or run, to sleep and relax, or to sit down and enjoy your meal. Whatever your self-care needs are, take that moment to do it, because you are important and you are necessary to nurture the next generation on Earth!

It is so important that you take some time out for yourself to pamper yourself get a massage or your nails and feet done do something to make you feel better!!!!! That’s so important!!!!!!!! Smooches
You’ve got it! Little things done like that can yield tremendous results!! Thanks for sharing ways you optimize your self care.
So many mothers take care of everyone else before taking care of themselves. I have often reminded moms that the airline tells you to put your own oxygen on first before you help others. It isn’t selfish to do self cares… it’s important so you can be the best Mom you can be!
Absolutely DrStuppy! That’s a great example. In order to continue to give unrelentingly to others, we have to refill our pitchers. Thank you for sharing!
